Norfolk House was a big hotel, it had good facilities, comfortable bed, in front of the bus stop, cheap and clean. There were coffee and tea making facilities in the room, and a built-in hair dryer which was convenient. Definitely value for money in my opinion

The stay was really good. The staff were extremely helpful and understanding. They went out of their way and catered to all our special requests. Overall, a nice hotel and a great stay we had for over a week. Thanks for providing this stay at the best tariff possible. It was worth every penny I paid for, and more

Not a good stay, staff unfriendly and unflexible, not feeling welcome at all, we were asked to be quiet about 21.00 because we brought kids? Everyone else with same origin as staff could make noise all night and if we had a problem we could leave. Not clean hotel and rooms. Very small beds and too hot, poor breakfast as well not recommendable

We stayed in a triple room and it was very small and not very clean. Everyday they made the bed but they didn't change the bed sheets and the cups for tea and coffee (available in the room) were just "washed" in the bathroom and not replaced with new. There was no elevator and we got a room on third floor. If you are coming to see London this is not a good place to stay. Its far away from the centre and its expensive if you don't have a car. Croydon is in zone 6 and we bought a travelcard for one week - the price was 48 pounds pr. person. We wouldn't come back

A cheap rate was about the best part of the hotel. We had to fight upon arrival for the receptionist to accept Scottish bank notes, apparently they are not legal tender despite the fact that the hotel advertises itself to be a Euro hotel and accepting all Euro currency!? A full breakfast was paid for however the hotel had no note of this and had to fight to actual get anymore then burnt toast for breakfast (as the chef took the knob off the toaster because people kept turning the temperature down as strangely enough not everyone likes burnt toast). After arguing with reception finally got my breakfast however this was pretty much thrown at us when served for making a fuss that we wasn't getting what we had paid for. After asking reception if this would be a problem for the second morning and being told no, it was, and we had to argue again. The rooms were far, far too warm, no air at all, although the radiators were not on it was boiling hot all the time. Hot water was a 50/50 chance, it was either scolding or none at all. The garden was a delight, with old bed frames and wardrobes built up to admire at. All in all, I felt that despite being the paying customer I was made out to be an inconvenience for turning up in the first place. PS - the hotel should maybe notify their staff that Scotland is only up the road and that the tender is not foreign and that the coins are the same ones used in England and Scotland so do not need to be inspected

Not a bad hotel for the price we paid. Breakfast was ok but if we had paid the full price we would have expected it to be a bit cleaner - was dust on the head boards and other furniture and all the hall ways needed hovering. Otherwise not too bad a hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located on the main road (so easy to find), its clean, the room was located in a quiet area (so nice and peaceful stay)! I would recommend on arrival you ask for a quiet room if you want to relax properly. The breakfast was nice, aside from the fact you have to make the toast yourself on some grill (which I think is a bit of a hassle first thing in the morning) other than that all was good.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and affordable. Good service from the reception staff. However not enough parking. A snack machine would be beneficial as there are no late night facilities available. Altogether a pleasant stay.

We had an average stay at the Norfolk House Hotel...but for the price, we ain't complaining :) There are a few things that the management need to consider and improve on. 1) The heating was either off or boiling...no medium. 2) Some of the rooms smelled slightly suspicious. 3) I think the hotel needs to be 'updated'...a refurbishment is highly advisable! However, the staff were very helpful and polite.

The room we had was outdated, worn-out (not all was working properly, toilet) but clean. Most important, the bed was OK. Very good value for money.

It was a good experience to stay there for two nights, everything was fine but just one thing was missing and i think you should add it in your service and that was mini tooth paste and tooth brush, all else was pretty ok.

We stayed for two days from 5-7 Dec. The food in the restaurant wasn’t the best, but edible. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was small, but had everything we needed. You pay a five pound deposit to get the remote control for your TV though you get it back when you check out. The continental breakfast was fine, plenty of choice of cereals, juice, toast and if you need anything just ask the staff.
