European Hotel Reviews
A small, good-value-for-money hotel in London. It is well placed for transport, both local and further afield. Rooms are small but tidy
Room at European Hotel adequate and basic. Very noisy from room above shoes even noise from shower and toilet flushing can be heard. Very noisy outside, shouting coming from the grass area outside in the early hours of the morning. breakfast was good hot clean dining area
Having chosen a basic room at European Hotel, I found this room extremely small (about five feet wide) and reached by climbing three flights of narrow stairs. Room was very clean and quiet, and bed was comfortable (which is what matters). The cooked breakfast was adequate but somewhat basic. Reasonably flavoured food
This was a very positive stay. Given the fantastic location, the shortcomings in the rooms can be forgiven. It was quiet in the evening, given the location this was a welcome surprise. The staff were ok, with the eastern Europeans being much more friendly by saying hello and goodbye than other staff. The free WiFi was a must have and worked very well. Our room was well kept and clean, and the small size is what one can expect given its location. The only suggestions were that the powdered milk whitener was gloopy, and the bathroom could do with a spray of mold/mildew remover. Some dated cigarette scorch marks were on the desk, and this cheapened the feel of the room. Everything else at European Hotel was very nice! The breakfast was good. The beans had no flavour, and the fried eggs were very greasy. The plates were a mish mash of sizes, and the cutlery was all different makes. Saying that, it certainly was filling and the drinks on offer were very good. If this hotel was not in Central London, it would get no more than 2 or 3 out of 5. This is due to the wear and tear throughout, lack of space/courtyard. I would happily stay here again for a value-based London stay
