The room was quiet because we had hallways on both sides, so no neighbours. Nice warm shower (but no space), good central location, normal friendly desk staff although I couldn't enjoy my breakfast at all, coffee tasted like brown water

We thought that our stay at the European was excellent. The room was small but clean and comfortable and perfect for our needs. The staff were very courteous and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for them. We found the breakfast to be superb and lots of it, it set us up nicely for the day. We would highly recommend this hotel. For the middle of London it was very reasonably priced and very good value for money overall and would certainly book again

If you are looking for somewhere close to St Pancras/Kings Cross or Euston if you are catching an early train then this is ideal providing you are happy with cheap and basic. If you are looking for space, luxury or looking to impress someone then perhaps look elsewhere

Acceptable budget accommodation for one night. The single room itself was clean and adequately furnished, with laminate flooring. No bedside light and there was only one very thin pillow. The toilet and shower were in cupboards and VERY basic. There was no hook or rail in the shower-room so no place to hang the towel or robe, and I couldn't get the shower to run warm or hot. Not a problem on a hot August day and for one night but it would have been in winter, or for a longer stay. It was also three flights of stairs up without a lift. I went out for breakfast so can't comment on that

We changed hotel after two days To the St. Giles Hotel on Bedford Avenue. The room and toilet in the European Hotel were extremely small. Absolutely no luxus. The breakfast was served by a staff who talked in mobile phones and to each other all the time during the breakfast. They were in dirty cloches. I expect a staff of freindly people who care about the guests. That was not the way it was at this hotel. We will never use it again
