The hotel's location is perfect. A two minute walk from King's Cross Station. The staff is friendly. Our room was nice and clean. We had our own bathroom, where towels were changed every day. Also the room was cleaned every day. I liked breakfast a lot (coffee, tea, cornflakes, juice, eggs, sausages, baked ham, toast, butter, marmalade). I would highly recommend it to all of my friends (I actually have already). All in all we were pleasantly surprised and are definitely staying there whenever we come back to London!

It is very good location and facilities there, however the internet use there is not so convenient

My basic single was just that: a narrow monastic cell with basic furniture, a flickering non-digital TV and a wash-basin. But it was clean, blissfully quiet, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and simply as somewhere to sleep on a busy visit it was functional. But my top floor room was reached by six steep flights of stairs (no lift), perhaps a problem for some. The breakfast was fatty trucker-stop basic (not very good quality bacon and sausage, but plentiful). Much could have been forgiven if the staff had smiled instead of looking bored and faintly contemptuous

The location of the European Hotel was great, it was very well connected to everywhere, and the staff was ok. the only disappointment was the room, which was not the cleanest one

Your rating will depend on what you are looking for. I was looking for a no frills room within a block or two from St. Pancras. That's what I got. European Hotel is a very easy walk from St Pancras, just take the underpass to Euston Road and turn left, away from Camden Town Hall. Follow the street right in front of you, for a block and you'll see it. So if the watch word is LOCATION, then the European Hotel is a pretty good deal for a real bargain price. You can also take the Picadilly line to Covent Garden and Picadilly Circus and get to both places in a matter of minutes. In terms of luxurious accommodations, well.., if you are looking for luxury and cushy diggs, look elsewhere. This is a bargain hotel and you get bargain amenities as well. Just decide, do you want to buy the place, or do you want to spend the night? That's a decision you will need to make for yourself

Europen Hotel was very near to Kings Cross, just a few minutes walk. It was quiet, seemed secure. The reception knew we were arriving and quickly got us our key and sorted out the payment. The breakfast was a full English breakfast, canteen style but filling. There were tea and coffee making facilities and everything was clean. On the negative side the room was extremely small, with a short, small double bed. We had two small suitcases and it was not possible to move around the room without having to continually move the luggage. We had a ground floor room, which was reached by going down three steps and then up three steps. The corridor to the room was very narrow and there were other room doors opening into this corridor. If there had been a fire alarm during the night it would have been very congested getting out of even a ground floor room. We probably would not go back because of this

Breakfast adequate, but room very poor - tiles falling of the wall, and fused electrics

Exterior at the European Hotel was impressive, but it was a different story on the inside. The room was VERY small, dark and depressing and the communal shower room looked less than clean. Breakfast was luke-warm. This hotel was cheap - but not cheerful... (On the positive side, it was possible to leave luggage after checking out)

I stayed in one of the basic single rooms with shared bathroom. For a hotel in Zone 1 and within walking distance of Central London, the price was hard to beat. The accommodation was what you would expect for the price. The room was clean but very small, and there was a single shared shower that wasn't exactly sparkling clean. There wasn't much noise from outside, but the walls were very thin so I think I was lucky I didn't have a noisy neighbour. I didn't try the breakfast. Basically, a good place if you're on a tight budget and need somewhere central just to sleep and wash

The hotel is well-located near King's Cross/St. Pancras. Rooms are kept very clean and tidy, and the buffet English breakfast, which is included, is very filling. The only drawback is occasionally noisy guests, a problem which is exacerbated by the thin walls.

Marvellous as ever! Room was very comfortable, reception very friendly, great night's sleep, no queue for either shared toilet or bathroom despite hotel being fully booked. Fine breakfast and plenty of it! I love this place! You do get what you pay for though - if you're looking for 5* luxury, this isn't it, but if you need a comfortable bed in a fab location, book it!

Very bad service in terms of everything! Rude Eastern European restaurant personnel, dirty kitchen, appalling shower and toilets, corridor smelled horribly, room very tiny. Everything seemed horrendous, worse than in 16th century!

Awful. We actually suffered at this hotel. First, there are no elevator- so we had to drag our extremely heavy luggage up 3 floors. And then, when we arrived to our room, we started to hear unbelievably loud noises from the pipes in the walls. The noise was so loud that we couldn't sleep for two days, and when we asked to move to another room the only solution they came up with was to move us to a deserted hotel down the street, with no people (employees or visitors) in it. It felt like living in a haunted house. All in all, it was a terrible visit.

Well for £50 the accommodation was reasonable. The TV worked well. But the shower was broken and was either red hot or cold - no halfway house. Breakfast was ok. But all in all I suppose for London it was adequate.
