We had never stayed in a hostel before as it always seems to have a young backpackers/party/unclean dorm style layouts stigma attached to it. But after looking for accommodation close to the Apollo Theatre to see James Bay we came across Hammersmith Rooms. Reading the reviews of Hammersmith rooms we thought we would give it a chance. I was so surprised because they even did private rooms with private bathrooms. We booked onto one a private room with a shared bathroom but when we checked in, having booked on TravelStay, the gentleman behind the counter upgraded us to a room free of charge to a private room with a private bathroom. The room and bathroom was incredibly clean. We were so impressed and I have already recommended this place to my friends and family. The price we paid for this place was amazing a fraction of a cost of even 2 star hotels in the area. I would defiantly book to stay here again. Just a perfect little find!

The corridor was extremly loud. It was bearable for staying two nights. 3 min from hostel is Hammersmith Tube Station. Perfect for getting direclty to all attractions. 3 min from hostel are pubs and the Belushi's (nice breakfast and cocktails at the evening. Also there is a great supermarket inside Hammersmith Station.

Nice hotel, good atmosphere and great location. My room was large, tidy and clean. The only drawback is the cleaning of the communal toilets, that should be done more often.
