The building was not in good condition but it was clean. It is very well situated, 15mn walk to Oxford street through Hyde park which is just in front of the hostel. It is also very feel deserved by the underground with bayswater on the green line and Queensway on the red line. If you are looking for a place from where you can visit london and where you only want to spend the night without spending to much money, Hyde Park Hostel is the place

Ok maybe the hostel is old, shower and equipment should be changed, but to sleep in a city like London next to Hyde Park close to city centre for the price per night is really a good price. And London is such an amazing city. A bed to sleep a shower for refreshment is enough because nobody stays in Hyde Park Hostel longer than a few hours. And the staff is really friendly and helps you if needed

I definitely enjoyed staying at Hyde Park Hostel for various reasons such as their good customer service, cleanliness and free breakfast. The hostel is also not far from the city centre of London. It was a great stay indeed

Despite the very good central location, I would not recommend this particular hostel. It had an array of problems: The showers were unreliable and hot water didn't run. There didn't seem to be a cleaner around because everywhere was quite dirty at all times! The toilets were simply horrible and I heard about people being bitten by bed bugs! They should at least cover basic hygiene rules! Not good at all!

Absolutely hideous experience, I have stayed in many cheap hostels and I know what to expect but this was disgusting. Freezing cold, damp, no heating, my window was loose and looked to fall out at any minute, the hostel lost our booking and had to re book another smaller room than we asked for. We had to wait and hour because of this to actually use the room as there were no beds made up and no sheets for them. The beds were broken and the toilets don't flush. There were also loud noisy people staying at the hostel and no one to ask them to calm down. Awful experience avoid at all costs. I don't think this hostel deserves even 1/5 for a rating.

When we entered the room there were only two beds available in a room full of men (we were a man and woman). The room was really messy. All kind of stuff laying on the floor including food, dinning items, personal belongings, clothes, etc. All mixed up that you couldn't tell what belonged to whom. Even the ladder to my bed was covered in clothes and towels that I had to step on. The bed I got was full of ashes and some bowls and spoons. I was allocated another bed but it had someone's name tag on which made me feel uncomfortable and my boyfriend got the bed on the opposite side of the room. The bedding was very dirty, smelled disgusting and the atmosphere in the room was unpleasant. The staff were unhelpful and lacked any care. We do not recommend this hostel whatsoever and suggest paying extra to stay elsewhere.
