How to get around Fitzrovia
It’s easy to get around London from Fitzrovia as there are so many tube stations to choose from. If you start out at Tottenham Court Road Station on the Central Line it will take you 5 minutes to get to St Paul’s Tube Station. If you get off here you can look around the fantastic St Paul’s Cathedral. Why not hop on at Oxford Circus and travel on the Bakerloo Line to Waterloo? It takes 7 minutes and you can take a ride on the London Eye or visit the fascinating London Aquarium. You could head north on the Bakerloo Line from Oxford Circus and travel 16 minutes to Wembley Park Station. Wembley Stadium plays host to the world’s best bands and sporting events, so it’s definitely worth a visit. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle then you should take a tube to Kew Gardens Station. Kew Gardens is a wonderful haven in South West London and you can get here in 23 minutes from Oxford Circus.
If you decide to drive around Fitzrovia, there’s an NCP car park on Cleveland Street, near to Goodge Street Tube Station.
If you need a taxi during your stay in Fitzrovia you’ll find Creative Cars on Windmill Street near to Goodge Street Tube Station, and All London Airports Cars are on Regent Street near to Oxford Circus Tube Station.
Fitzrovia On Foot
Fitzrovia is in the heart of London and lots of the capital’s main attractions are just a short walk away. Covent Garden, with its colourful street entertainers, fashionable market and trendy bars, is only a 14-minute walk from Oxford Circus Tube Station. The world-famous Madame Tussauds is just 15 minutes away on foot, and Buckingham Palace only 17 minutes. You should also have a good look around colourful Camden Market – you’ll be here after a 23-minute walk if you start at Regent’s Park Tube Station. The spectacular Royal Albert Hall in South Kensington is just 30 minutes from Oxford Circus Tube Station. Wonderful operas, concerts and shows are performed here, so it’s well worth trying to book tickets to see something.
