The Windsor House Hotel is right next to the tube and gave us a clean bed for the night. I would come back here again because they gave us good value for money and a brilliant place to explore London from

For the location of the Windsor House Hotel and the money you pay, it really is worth putting up with the small niggles of the hotel. The breakfast wasn't amazing but it was ok, all the bedding and sheets are clean and they gave us an extra towel when asked

I have a very low opinion on the Windsor House Hotel. The people at the reception were very unfriendly, the room was dirty, in a deplorable state and very, very small. The bathroom was even more decrepid. The breakfast service consisted of a slice of stale white bread and cold coffee, served by an indifferent waitress. In short, I will never go back there and regret the fact that our stay was not what we expected it to be. I do hope this opinion will also be placed on the website, since I chose this hotel on the basis of all the enthusiastic reviews

We found the Windsor Hotel very basic indeed. The room was shabby and not well decorated. There was no soap and only one towel in the room. The walls were paper thin too. The breakfast was very basic and poorly presented. Some good things were that it was situated in a nice area, and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I suppose you get for what you pay at the end of the day, but we will not be returning again on future visits.

Friendly atmosphere, clean and quiet. A little bit uncomfortable due to the shared toilets. Perfect location. Thank you

Excellent location just around the corner from Earl's Court tube station. Buses and night buses run just outside the station. Friendly staff, ready to help, quick to fix any problem you may have. We were two people (my mum and I) in a comfy and warm room with private bath and toilet. Double bed + a single bed and enough space for clothes etc. There is no lift in the hotel, so you may have to struggle a bit with your luggage and walking up those stairs after touring the city all day! You can use their kitchen to prepare your own meals, and the free breakfast consists of toast and cornflakes, tea and coffee - good enough for us :) All in all a good stay, would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in that area.

Hi, Windsor House Hotel was not like we imagined. Very old furniture and very used other things. We were there three nights and we moved after the first night into another room because they said to us that they are doing some new decorating or etc, and in our new room, there was smell from painting, I would not recommend this place to my friends. Of course location near underground was wonderful and people in reception friendly. People in kitchen were usually unfriendly and we got each day same breakfast, toast and jam. I would not call it hotel but hostel, toilet was outside of rooms for 4 or more rooms together. They were not on same floor too.

This hotel was good value for the money, though I don't think I would stay again. I booked a double, but was placed in a triple with my husband.....3 twin beds. The next day we were moved into what I thought was a double, but was really two twin beds pushed together. They also came into our room during the day to paint, without permission, leaving a horrible paint smell for when we returned. The breakfast was white toast. It was conveniently located though, and we had a nice shower in the room.

This hotel is cheap and cheerful. Good points: Clean, very friendly and accommodating staff, price, kitchen. I booked this for myself and my mother. Unfortunately my mother had flu and bronchitis at the time so the many stairs were a big problem. The kitchen is in the basement and is clean and tidy. You can use it to make meals or simply a tea and coffee. There's also a TV here. Breakfast of toast, cereal, boiled eggs, tea or coffee was simple but enough. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. Less than 2 mins walk to Earls Court Tube station and plenty of supermarkets and restaurants/takeaways within walking distance. Bad Points: Stairs... if you can't handle stairs, don't book here. Bathroom (en-suite) was a cabin type like those found on a ferry. Very clean and adequate for our stay. Things to improve on: Rooms could do with a lick of paint. For smokers there is no ashtray provided outside. Mattresses were a bit on the old side, but comfortable enough. Our room only had 1 power point which made it awkward for charging more than 1 item at a time. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room, possibly not a good choice, but as a base great. All in all I'd recommend this hotel.

The location was excellent. The room was very quiet. It was easy to get to central London and very close to subway. The room and breakfast were basic but it was ok. Members of staff were all kind. I will stay again
