Swinton Hotel Reviews page 2
Swinton Hotel had a basic room. Clean. Thin walls! Shower/wet room/toilet in one was very smelly after use. Unpleasant. Breakfast was toast/cereal. You get what you pay for.
The Swinton Hotel is an absolute disgrace. It's more like a prison cell than a hotel room. The walls, floors, window sills etc. were absolutely filthy, with dirt and mould on the carpets. The bed really did look like a prison bed. The wiring for the television looked dangerous and was just cable clipped across the wall. Where a previous wire had been, there was now a black line of dirt. The shower room was exceptionally basic. The road was extremely noisy. I walked out. There was no way that I would stay in this hotel.
The Swinton Hotel was okay, clean and tidy. Adequate for the amount of time we stayed. Room nice and warm.
The Swinton Hotel is excellent basic accomodation, clean, good breakfast, good price. What more could you ask for from a central location?
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at The Swinton Hotel. It was really easy to find from the train station and within walking distance of a nice Italian Restaurant and bars. The beds were really comfortable and it had a really strong shower. The only problems we had were the room and breakfast room were very warm. Also, when we arrived, the person on the front desk was very quiet and not very helpful when showing us the way to our room. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely book again.
The Swinton Hotel is a basic accommodation for a 2 star hotel in Central London. The room's very small - just a double bed and a set of wardrobes and not much space to move. Has a tea making facility. Bathroom okay, nice shower, but washbasin very small and faulty. Rooms and hotel need upgrading. They're dull and dreary. However, as you only stay in the room to sleep, you pay for what you get. Would consider a slightly better accommodation if booking again, but depends on price. This type of hotel serves a purpose for a few days stay at a lower price range for London. The hotel seems to cater for mainly young foreign students.
A spotlessly clean hotel. I will book Swinton Hotel again. But I wish there was a bedside light
I booked this hotel without worrying about other people's reviews, however my other half did read a few, so wasn't expecting much! Overall it's fine for 1 or 2 nights stay with a great central location in London. We found the hike from kings cross station to the hotel and back a bit much after walking round town all day, so wouldn't really recommend to anyone with walking difficulties! The rooms could be a lot more attractive with a bit of filler and a lick of paint, also if the cleaners were to clean the mould off from around the windows! All in all comfortable enough though. Don't expect a lie in though, as we found walls very thin and were constantly woken up in the morning, by what I presume was the cleaner banging about as I believe we were the only people staying on the 3rd floor. Reception were helpful, and luggage room was located behind the reception and locked, so peace of mind there! So all in all, not bad, reasonably priced, good for a one night stay, and in central London
The customer service at Swinton Hotel was excellent and the facilities satisfactory. The staff were friendly and helpful when asked about local places to dine and visit and the room was clean and warm. A lovely hotel in my opinion
Good location if you are catching the Eurostar. Room was okay for a short stay as the room and bathroom were both tiny but clean. Breakfast was okay but the room it was served in was a bit cramped
