The position is very convenient, due to its vicinity to King's Cross Station. The rooms are tiny and two people can hardly stand between the bed and the door, but also the common spaces are without space. Otherwise, the people are quite kind, the bathroom isreasonably clean and the price is more than fair. If you have low standard and want to spend not so much, this could be exactly the solution for you

I cannot see why its had such bad feedback on here. I agree it is a little run down and noisy but the location is fantastic and the noise is easily drowned out by shutting the window! The bedding is perfectly clean although the room does need a new lick of paint and perhaps new curtains (ours was broken) other than that staff were lovely very helpful and it was a comfortable stay

The staff are friendly and the hotel is in a great location, however the rooms are quite small

The hotel is situated very close to King's Cross station. The staff are friendly. However, it is very noisy from street noise and the room I was given in the basement was surrounded by damp walls full of mould. The two shower/loo rooms had tiles falling off and were far from clean. The bedroom had virtually no facilities - no table lamp, or TV

You will get what you pay for. Clean, cheap, safe. There was no table or something you can put things on, just old dirty fridge and TV which doesnt work. I recommend

Cheap and near to Eurostar, but awful otherwise. Even the smoke alarms are covered up

My friends and I had a lovely time staying at Northumberland Hotel and I would definetely stay here if I were to visit London again. The location is excellent, the staff were extremelly nice and helpful, the bathroom was right across our room and it was always clean and equipped with toilet paper and soap. The room was small and had some graffitti by previous visitors on the walls, which is typical of youth hostels, but other than that, it was given to us in excellent condition. We also got clean towels every day and we could borrow a hair dryer from the reception when needed. If all you're looking for is a bed to sleep on after sightseeing all day and a hot shower in the morning, this is the place to stay. Basic accommodation at great value.
