Guy on reception very friendly and helpful. Beds were clean and comfortable. Dark, gloomy, poor decoration and general cleanliness poor. Room cold no heating in November. Shared bathroom dark red walls and poor state of repair

I stay in Argyle Square every week near Paddington. This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in so far. The room had a bed in it and that was it. The bedspread looked like a faux fur blanket that my cousin had circa 1982, brown with a white tiger on it, anyone know this blanket?? I was scared to touch it! I didn't even take a shower in the morning it was so scary. To top off no breakfast was even offered as it is in every other hotel in this area, although I probably wouldn't have dared eat it. Seriously I'm not that picky and don't mind sharing bathroom/shower but this was minging. Not even a telly either to drown my sorrows!
