Mr J McCann (16 September 14)

We stayed in this pleasant guest house for 2 nights and we chose it as it was close to the city centre and was reasonably priced. We found the staff helpful and friendly. The service was good for breakfast and meals warm. The bedroom was clean though a bit dark due to its rear position. We picked up a carry out for an evening meal as there are plenty located less than 2 minutes away in Sachiehall St. Overall, Mclays Guest House is a good spot to stay in Glasgow

Very poor, unfriendly receptionist, uncomfortable basement room and inedible breakfast. I will not return.

Seems bit expensive when compared to the budget for a double room. Although tried breakfast in so many other London hotels, here the breakfast was ok not to that standard breakfast. Cleanliness was good and had a speedy wifi

Mclays Guest House is somewhere to get the head down. Clean basic room at a fair enough price. Very close to Sauchiehall Street shops and nightlife but located just enough out the way to escape any noise from revellers at night. Shared bathroom was adequate

I had a brilliant stay at Mclays Guest House, the room was clean and the bedding too. The place is close to city centre walking distance and it's a cheap place to find in town. The only down fall was the windows I couldn't open and tiny stairs to walk up but the breakfast was delicious and friendly staff
