Mclays Guest House Reviews

Our first night at MClays Guest House was cold as the heating in the room was lukewarm. However, upon hearing of our plight the staff brought engineers in to fix the problem heater and lent us use of a portable heater. Consequently our room was lovely and warm despite cold weather outside. We found the rooms nice, room service good and breakfasts prompt and adequate. The location of the guest house is ideal for those wishing to explore the centre of the city

Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff and really cosy rooms. The location of the Mclays Guesthouse is also good. Would definitely come back

Gave it top rating because it was exactly what it said - no frills accommodation at a reasonable price. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly. What more can you ask

Well situated for a visit to Glasgow. Friendly reception. Cups and dishes unfortunately not properly washed

We stayed 1-3rd Oct and we had a great time. Staff very friendly and helpful and rooms very clean. close to everything. Would certainly stay again!

The staff were officious and rude, we couldn't use the internet until 9am, the shower in our room was broken, our towels were taken in the morning and not replaced and when we asked for new towels we were told that they were busy and would eventually get to us. At breakfast we sat at a table that hadn't been cleared and were asked to move so that it could be cleared

I had a very pleasant stay; the staff were uniformly kind and helpful.

It's not so comfortable but anyway the cost is quite fit for the room

Great location within walking distance of city centre, train stations, bus station, pubs, restaurants and concert halls. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms old fashioned but clean and tidy. Will definitely stay here again
