Only downside was that the room was a little small, but the room was clean and breakfast was fine

Nice & friendly (although girls serving breakfast were not). Cheap and cheerful hotel. Our room was so small with almost zero space for clothes & NO space for suitcases. If you go here, don't ask for room #2 as it's the worst. Nearest to stairs & an annoying load door outside that rattled our door every time someone went through it. We complained but nothing done. Also radiator didn't work properly & got too hot, again nothing was done. Breakfast was ok (tea, toast, just two types of cereal) but because hotel was full it was difficult getting in there which was very annoying. Only book here if you're just planning 1 or 2 days & you're on a tight budget. If you have several suitcases, forget it, look elsewhere. Tube is just 2 minutes away which is great & the shops around here are quite good too. Nice pub on the corner. I gave this place 2/5 as we had problems with our room & although the desk staff were nice, the many girls serving breakfast were a misery & didn't make you feel welcome. They were quick & efficient however

3rd time we've stayed here and it gets better every time. They are working on re-doing all the rooms throughout the hotel and had the pleasure of staying in one of the updated rooms. Lovely. Don't get me wrong, it's a cheap and cheerful hotel and the standard is what you'd expect from the price you pay, but as a base for the stay and a bed for the night, we have no complaints at all

Once again a very pleasant stay at the Lord Jim. This is our 4th visit, as we come to London regular to see shows each time bringing a friend with us. We have other hotels in London we use, but now find the Lord Jim has all that we are looking for. A warm welcome, clean fresh rooms on entering, comfortable beds, nice clean sheet, extra bedding in the wardrobe should you need it. Continental breakfast very good with lots of variety and pleasant pleasing staff to take care of all your needs. Will be using The Lord Jim On our next visit
