I love the Lord Jim Hotel. The staff are wonderful, the rooms clean and beautifully maintained, the location is perfect in it's convenience, and I stayed there 3 years ago, again this summer, and I would never think of staying anywhere else when in London. I call it "My own little B and B in London". Thanks for asking. Naomi Rankin

This hotel was quite nice. My room was small but very functional and the housekeeping staff was top notch. The street is quiet and the location is safe and convenient. I would definitely stay here again

Good location but terrible hotel. Tiny rooms. There was no room on the floor to open my small suitcase and I had to sit on the bed in order to use the washbasin. Queue for breakfast. Pascal, at reception, was very helpful though.

Our stay at the Lord Jim was good, at first we were given a room in the bottom floor which was like the basement but had a window at ground level. This room had a really mouldy smell and we had it exchanged to another room on the 2nd floor. This room was much better although very small it had everything we needed, it was also nice and warm as the weather was really cold. Breakfast was ample. Hotel is in an excellent location, around the corner from a tube station, heaps of restaurants & takeaways close by. We had a good stay, thankyou.

Small rooms, but everything available. Showers not completely clean (fungus on the doors) The walls are thin so if your neighbours are noisy, your night is not comfortable. Breakfast is OK.

Quiet street, clean room (and toilets and showers, which were outside the room for me), breakfast OK, quiet cheap for the location. The room was very small, but I read so in other reviews and I didn't spend much time there. The room was located at the stairs to the breakfast room, which made it noisy and "unsleepable" once the breakfast started. I would stay there again when I plan another visit

I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay. Reception staff were lovely, room compact (but had everything I needed- how much time do you spend in your room when visiting London?) shower, tea/coffee, TV, clean sheets and towels everyday. Had a problem with the shower the 1st day so went to reception - was literally accompanied back upstairs, by the gentleman who was going to look at it - nothing wrong with it at all - just me not operating it properly - great service!!!!! Wonderful breakfast - have had a lot worse in more expensive hotels (and those waitresses - really efficient and hard working. Handy for the tube and buses. I intend to stay there again any time I come up to London (which will be more often at that price) No its not the Hilton - but it IS fantastic value for money.

The hotel from the outside is nice as is the reception. As for the family rooms they are very small and in the basement where the staff stay. Wouldn’t stay there again

Only downside was that the room was a little small, but the room was clean and breakfast was fine
