Durham Castle is a very beautiful and impressive place to stay! The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Stayed in the old castle keep – the only drawback to this was the number of steps up there

Durham Castle Reviews
Nice clean accommodation, good room service/re-make facilities with plenty of complementary tea/coffee. Excellent breakfast buffet eat as much as you like and lovely choice of full english, continental n fruit/yogurt. Beautiful setting made for a very special weekend, would love to return to Durham Castle
A really beautiful place, a magnificent view, pleasant and efficient staff (especially the lady in the refectory who dealt with my gluten free needs). I will book Durham Castle again. An iconic place not matched by any other in the North
Excellent stay. Thoroughly enjoyed Durham Castle
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Durham Castle. The atmosphere was beyond description. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Spotless room and wonderfully comfortable beds. Hearing the chimes from the clock was soothing. Only two requests, something in the shower to hold the soap and a flannel for washing our faces. And, let me add breakfast in the great hall was amazing
