Durham Castle Reviews
Absolutely exceptional place & location. Arrived very late and staff at Porter's Lodge and generally could not have been more helpful. Durham Castle is a beautiful place to stay and deserves 7/5
I loved the place and would book Durham Castle again. A lot of stairs to climb to the upper floors, but the room and view were worth it. I found it good value and 5/5
Durham Castle is very atmospheric and in a beautiful location. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast, enhanced by the stunning refectory. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. En suite bathroom shower water pressure very poor (as expected for such an old building)
My stay at Durham Castle was ideal. The location was perfect for my meetings at the university and for my personal touring of the city. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast (being buffet style) was just what I needed an no more. I would highly recommend this accommodation for any summer traveler passing through Durham
