We enjoyed our overnight stay at Durham Castle very much with view of cathedral and a good breakfast

Excellent accommodation at Durham Castle. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spartan but in a good way, and the breakfasts in the Great Hall will remain in our memories for many years to come. The only snag was the many stairs, which might be important for potential visitors to know about depending on their age and state of health

Durham Castle is a beautiful location to spend the night at Durham. The surroundings are wonderful and the Castle has maintained its historic feel. I had a singe room with shared bathroom. The room was nice and clean, and the bathroom was well-tended too. The staff were very friendly

Staff were very helpful at Durham Castle, rooms were clean and ready for us on arrival. Good facilities including towels toiletries, tea coffee making etc good location wonderfull breakfast free parking. A bit noisy due to wedding celebration but all quiet by midnight would stay again

I enjoyed my stay at Durham Castle and found the room very comfortable and nicely set up. Breakfast was good as well. Getting my bag up and down from the keep was a bit of work and could be an issue for some people
