Place was fairly clean and tidy and the staff were helpful. Basic, but excellent value for the price. Continental breakfast is just bread and cornflakes though

Great location, just around the corner from the shops. Friendly and helpful staff :)

Not very good. Very old bathrooms and not very clean. Bad beds, all piled up in small rooms. The only good thing I can say about this place is the location. Not the best backpacker hostel I've been to in London

The bunk beds were nice - reminded me of a six month stay in Barlinnie I had one time. Only slight negative was we tried to have a party with about 20 of our friends but after 15 mins the concierge threw everybody out

The hostel looked nice from the outside, it was easy to find and apparently it's 'world famous'. Not likely, my friends and I were disappointed, we didn't expect it to be amazing but it was a bit of a joke, the staff were rude and not helpful in the slightest, we had to pay another £10 each on top of the deposit we had already paid which was not mentioned when we booked, we had to leave the hostel to find a cash machine, which was annoying after travelling all morning, when we got to the room the cleaner let herself in and started cleaning the room whilst we were in it. Luckily we were only there for the bed which was hard, so we endured about two waking hours there, wouldn't recommend it unless you're desperate, we are three 18 year olds who had spent the night in many hostels before but this place was awful. The only pleasant member of staff was a bloke who checked us out

Clean, good linen, great transport links with bus stops and tube stations from 0-5 mins walk, and food outlets, shops and entertainment close and easy. Noisy road and neighbourhood. Showers good but some shelves or a table would be useful. Staff make great effort to keep all areas clean. Smoking and talking outside front door can disturb you if you are in room at front, which is already very noisy due to the road. Good value for money compared with a lot of hostels in London

Me and two of my friends stayed here on Saturday night and it was great for what we wanted, a bed for the night. The room was a reasonable size and the sheets for the bed were clean. We literally just slept here and for that purpose I would highly recommend staying here. I definitely will be again

Very local, breakfast horrible, moody receptionists, we had to change rooms just after one night because a group arrived and needed our room, had to get out the room at 10pm to change :( all in all a cheap hostel, ok if you just need a place to stay but not enjoyable!

Excellent, clean hostel. Staff were polite and friendly. My room (53) had no plugs to charge my phone but the receptionist insisted I leave my phone with him for an hour and he would get it charged for me. Excellent customer service that guaranteed them another visit from me in the future.

Had a brilliant stay, really good location. Good price, helpful staff. Cheap and cheerful. Will stay again and would definitely recommend to students and backpackers.

Not a bad place, good location and pretty cheap which is represented in the smallness of the rooms. However there was small incident where I was out and they decided to move me which meant they just got all my stuff and moved it and didn't tell me when I got back so had a small heart attack there but apart from that, fine.

Excellent location for north London, especially Camden Lock, The Roundhouse, Regents Park, etc. It's a very basic hostel, and my first visit in early April was fine. However, the 2nd night of the second stay (a Sunday) was noisy with people partying until 2.30am and slamming the kitchen door which rocks, room 23! I don't think that much drinking and smoking in a hostel is appropriate. The man on duty offered me a different room at 1.45, when I least felt like making up another bed......

Decent place to stay if you just need a roof over your head for the night, wouldn't recommend it for a lengthy stay though.

Not a good place to stay. Loud, no space, not well organized, no good breakfast, I cannot recommend it at all. If you go to London, you will easily find some other, better place to stay.

Myself and 2 friends used this hostel as somewhere to stay after a night out. Location is great - right in centre of Camden Town near to tube station and bus stops. Luxurious it is not but for 12 a night we weren't complaining - it was warm and safe. I also found the staff to be pleasant. Only thing I saw that concerned me were the showers - there were no doors on the cubicles, just curtains which did put me off. Can't really comment on much else as we literally only slept there. Treat it as somewhere to crash rather than somewhere to spend time and you won't be disappointed.

Bad! Don’t go there! Small rooms ( nr.11 ), very dirty showers and toilets with no toilet paper and you can hire a towel for 5 pounds! You make your own breakfast ( toast and that’s it), old building made for "hobbits" with dirty carpets etc.etc., no parking area etc.etc.
