The rooms were spacious but the pillows were terrible. Slightly noisy but for the price its fine for a night or 2.

Me and my friends wanted somewhere cheap to stay while on a girly shopping weekend in Camden and this place did the trick. It definitely wasn't the Hilton, and there was a lot at fault (the room werent ready when we arrived and we had to wait downstairs for an hour, the receptionist was very curt, and the "continental" breakfast was only toast and cornflakes, with only whole milk on offer) but I believe you get what you pay for and this was good value for money in the heart of Camden.

I am using this hostel last few years and I am always happy with the services. Would recommend to anyone

Good for location and this made it good value for money. Wirelss internet was free, there are security keys and although it is small, there is more than one shower on a floor.

This hostel was disgusting! I would not recommend it to anyone! It was dirty and the place was unsanitary. The rooms and bathrooms were disgusting! The staff wasn't all that friendly or nice. For the money we paid I felt like we should get an actual breakfast and not just toast. In addition I would have liked an actual pillow.

I was looking for cheap place for my kids and me to stay for 3 nights. We had a, okay stay, but I though there was a little too much noise in the hallway during nights, and the showers were really poor and so was the continental breakfast. But the staff were nice and we enjoyed our 4 bedded room. I'm sure I'll come back again next time I go to London, as the hostel is located so near the market and the centre of London

Well, the location is great! The rooms are cheap, not in the best condition and make sure you bring your own pillow.. the pillows are evil :) but whatever! It's cheap and it's a place to sleep. I would stay in there again if its only a short time. Everything is so small: the showers, the stairways and even the beds :) but it's a good deal for a good location and a very low price- enjoy!

You get what you pay for, the rooms were very small, the breakfast was just cornflakes and toast and more cornflakes from what I saw. No oven in kitchen, quite noisy. Staff were friendly and helpful but they did not help with luggage despite me being 5 ft and there being lots of stairs :( Shower is pump action but nice and hot. Had a bar of soap nicked and my favourite jumper :( Pretty clean although I did see the toilet being cleaned with only water and tissue :s The location was very convenient for me and it was better than I expected anyway. Met some good people, would probably go back for the convenience and small price if it's only for a couple of nights

The place has a very odd definition of "continental" breakfast, and all I saw available was cornflakes and toast. I do wonder which continent they based such a breakfast upon. Although this wasn't a problem at all, I did find it very misleading. The rooms are basic at best, which was to be expected, but were never cold. I do wonder however how such a place would cope with so little bathroom space. Given it's locale and relative cheapness I would consider it value for money, even with the slight shortfalls

Place was fairly clean and tidy and the staff were helpful. Basic, but excellent value for the price. Continental breakfast is just bread and cornflakes though

Not very good. Very old bathrooms and not very clean. Bad beds, all piled up in small rooms. The only good thing I can say about this place is the location. Not the best backpacker hostel I've been to in London

The bunk beds were nice - reminded me of a six month stay in Barlinnie I had one time. Only slight negative was we tried to have a party with about 20 of our friends but after 15 mins the concierge threw everybody out

The hostel looked nice from the outside, it was easy to find and apparently it's 'world famous'. Not likely, my friends and I were disappointed, we didn't expect it to be amazing but it was a bit of a joke, the staff were rude and not helpful in the slightest, we had to pay another £10 each on top of the deposit we had already paid which was not mentioned when we booked, we had to leave the hostel to find a cash machine, which was annoying after travelling all morning, when we got to the room the cleaner let herself in and started cleaning the room whilst we were in it. Luckily we were only there for the bed which was hard, so we endured about two waking hours there, wouldn't recommend it unless you're desperate, we are three 18 year olds who had spent the night in many hostels before but this place was awful. The only pleasant member of staff was a bloke who checked us out

Clean, good linen, great transport links with bus stops and tube stations from 0-5 mins walk, and food outlets, shops and entertainment close and easy. Noisy road and neighbourhood. Showers good but some shelves or a table would be useful. Staff make great effort to keep all areas clean. Smoking and talking outside front door can disturb you if you are in room at front, which is already very noisy due to the road. Good value for money compared with a lot of hostels in London

Me and two of my friends stayed here on Saturday night and it was great for what we wanted, a bed for the night. The room was a reasonable size and the sheets for the bed were clean. We literally just slept here and for that purpose I would highly recommend staying here. I definitely will be again

Very local, breakfast horrible, moody receptionists, we had to change rooms just after one night because a group arrived and needed our room, had to get out the room at 10pm to change :( all in all a cheap hostel, ok if you just need a place to stay but not enjoyable!
