Barkston Rooms ReviewsBased on 492 Hotel Reviews
My booking was easy to make with a small deposit. I paid the remainder on arrival. I've never stayed in a hostel before and was pleasantly surprised. Basic but clean and made a 3-night stay in central London to attend a training event affordable. Other guests were nice, tourists here to visit London's famous sites. I slept well (with ear plugs); I will book to stay here again - thank you :-)
I did enjoy my stay, good location convenient for tube and bus travel into the city. There was no mirror in each bathroom in the apartment block. Neighbours in the adjoining residential block kept knocking the wall when conversation was made between persons in our room. At one point they came round to tell us to keep the noise down, personally I did not think it was loud. The walls must be very thin between the houses. Overall the Barkston Rooms accomodation for the price was very good.
Barkston Rooms is a very nice place to stay considering the proximity to Earls Court Tube Station and bus routes. But the lady at the reception was unfriendly, she is the only reason I might consider not returning there.
Rather poor service given. There were no lockers to keep valuables in. Rooms overcrowded upon so tight space. I only had cold, half-warm running water. Rooms without chairs, no place to put clothes on. Pluses are: Convenient localisation, and good cleanness.
The room lived up to its promises, it was basic but clean and close to the tube station. The hour free wifi was helpful, though completely free wifi would have been better.
