Who would say no to staying next to the Southbank honestly? It’s normally a student accommodation so the décor feels stale and functional but for the price it’s good value. We booked an en-suite room which was clean and tidy and well-maintained. But the best part for me was definitely the location as I did so much brilliant London stuff on foot. Will book again next year

I want to praise the breakfast and the breakfast staff at Bankside House, 100%. On the other hand, the bed was atrocious, luckily I was in a 4 bed room so I could take a duvet from another bed to place on top of the mattress, other wise I would have had to sleep on the floor

Bankside House is situated in a very nice part of London surrounded by many nice restaurants and adjacent to the Tate Modern. The staff were welcoming when I came to check in and there were plenty at the desk so I barely had to wait at all. My room at the the Bankside House was very spacious albeit lacking in amenities; there was a bed, desk, chair, bookcase shelves and a chest of drawers with a kettle and both tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom water tap was marked as not safe to drink and the nearest other was down the hall in the kitchen. There was also both a a games room, a communal tv lounge and a bar. The morning meal was very good though with a range of both continental and cooked breakfast options, along with very nice waffles, and a range of drinks. Overall a very nice place to stay for the price, its central position and quiet atmosphere was great for my short stay business trip

We stayed at Bankside House for two nights and found it to be a good value and appropriate for our needs. It is in an excellent location and offers a low-cost option for those looking for accommodation during the busy summer period. The breakfast was good, although busy and luckily we timed it so as not to have to wait too long in the queue. As there is no TV, it's good to bring a tablet especially for younger visitors

Reasonable London accommodation, close to Globe, Thames, Tate Modern art gallery etc. Cost is reasonable for London as well. Not great, not bad, and the breakfast is quite good

We stayed at Bankside House the night before my son had an operation. Very polite staff, clean, tidy, would recommend to friends and family if they wanted a reasonable price and basic room. As a bonus you get breakfast included but we didn't experience this as we had to leave before 7.30am

I could not give this London accommodation a better rating, the staff were so friendly and pleasant, the rooms were clean and exactly what was required. Above all the location is ideal for exploring the Southbank and surrounding areas

Have stayed here previously and find the accommodation 1st class, my only reason for probably not choosing it again is late at night when arriving at the Tube Station loaded with baggage having to find Bankside House is for me as a lone female a bit iffy as going down dark streets and getting lost in more dark streets with very few people if any about and the group of lads I did see on this occasion were eyeing my luggage, I was lost and no one else was around so not good. With my husband with me I would not hesitate to use Bankside House but on my own arriving late at night, no

Good London accommodation overall. For the future, I would suggest to provide more towels per person

I guess it's not easy to find something in a reasonable price category in the centre of London. Bankside House offers this and for this price you can't complain. It's conveniently located a 5 min foot walk from Southwark Station. The room was simple but absolutely clean and had enough space, I had my own bathroom, the shower worked well and on top of that I had a nice view on The Shard from my window. Granted the queue in the corridors leading to the restaurant in the morning made me quickly change my breakfast plans and the beer selection in the bar wasn't top notch (not one single English ale) but again: Having to work in the city for a few days I would choose Bankside House again as accommodation at any time
