The room was great, however the shower was not as you could not turn in up so you had to stand near the plug hole and the taps. Every night when I got back to the flat there was people who were smoking or something smelt the whole place out, but apart from that it was lovely

My stay at alexander fleming was ideal..it's in a great area, the rooms are very big, nice, and clean, and the building is secure. Exactly what you'd expect from a student halls...and cheaper than a hotel

Staff not that helpful or friendly. Could make a bit of an effort at being professional. Check in process was slow and we had a long line of people. Location ok, room ok though stuffy, needs airing. Showers and bathroom could have been maintained better. The kitchen could have been supplied with cleaning cloths and basic things (or could be given to the guest) eg teabags, salt, pepper, oil. I felt that this residence took 'no frills' to extremes

The room was nice and cozy and very close to tube/bus stops. Bathrooms (shared) were ok, couldn't expect much more for that price, but nothing disgusting or anything. The only problem was the lack of lifts, which made moving in quite unpleasant (I was on the third floor)

I had a very nice time at Alexander Fleming House. The location is perfect. East London is my favourite area... I however had very few night where I didn't wake up during the night due to slamming of the room doors of people coming home late. I would recommend that you set up some kind of systems so that the room doors will close quietly

Room was great. Clean and tidy on arrival, not small at all and lots of storage space. Kitchen was also good, again lots of space to use. Great position in city and close to tube station.

This was exactly the sort of cheap and basic bed-without-breakfast I needed before catching a very early train. It's difficult to find if you haven't been there before. I was given directions from Hoxton Street, but I think it's easier to find coming from Pitfield Street. Another snag is that I wasn't given an invoice, which I require for business purposes; I was told that I could be emailed one later.

I enjoyed my stay at Alexander Fleming House. Room and kitchen were spotless. Great position in London to get out and about, staff were very helpful and kind. Only downer, doors make a noise when closing can disturb your sleep. Would stay again.

I stayed in several student accomodation houses during the summer and this was by far the best, having had a recent facelift. Only negative is that being away from home during the week I need my TV in the room

Good arrangement of the shelves in the kitchen. Very good clean place, almost every day I saw the house cleaners. Very friendly and sympathetic receptionists. The only problem we saw a mouse in the kitchen twice. Thank you

My friend stayed here, and he had a great time. The room was clean and very comfortable, and it was very easy to check-in and out. I would certainly recommend this to others

Everything was okay. Kitchen and toilet were very clean. A typical university hall. However, if you cannot sleep with noise this is not the right place for you. Cleaners were very nice and discreet. The guy at the reception was rude when I went to check in earlier

Nice and clean and shared use of kitchen and toilet. Only the shower head is not powerful enough

Very clean rooms and quiet surroundings. I only had an issue with the pillows which was dealt with, besides this, the accommodation was very good

The main lamp was not functioning. There was a used towel on the door hanger when I arrived. The air conditioning system was making a constant noise in the entrance hall, which does not seem to be a healthy option especially for those who stey longer in the flat

A clean, well priced room. The staff were however very unhelpful. While staying I had questions about availability to stay on so I called reception. They told me they were too busy to answer over the phone and I would have to come down and talk in person. When I did that, they told me to go look online. After checking out, I was not allowed to leave my bags in the lobby for an hour, a huge inconvenience

The accommodation itself was quite good. The room was very spacious and the kitchen and bathroom were alright too. The only downside was the lack of respect shown by the other people staying in the flat that kept slamming the doors and left the kitchen in a deplorable state
