The accommmodation was fine but the noise was horrendous. I did not sleep at all due to the constant banging of doors. So I would not stay again nor would I recommend it

I love staying in Alexander Fleming House. Its location is amazing! Shoreditch is my favourite area in London, because of numerous music clubs and pubs, which have a very specific atmosphere for all live music lovers. It will take you minutes to get there from the residence. Famous Brick Lane is 10-15 minutes away. And it is only 15 minutes to get to Central London. The rooms are clean, kitchen is lovely and the most important thing is wireless, included in a room's price. I would advise Alexander Fleming House to everyone who is looking for budget prices, comfort and fun nights in Shoreditch

At £30 per night to stay within walking distance of the City, one shouldn't expect much. Having said that, Alexander Fleming House offers clean, basic, modern, and secure rooms with a shared shower and kitchen. This isn't a hotel, so don't expect hotel amenities (in particular a TV in the room - so bring your iPod). But if you need a cheap place to stay right near the financial heart of London, Alexander Fleming House is far and away the best deal

Generally very good - I would consider staying again. Cheap, conveniently located and generally quite clean. The only negatives - mould on the (ground level) bathroom roof was a little bit of a concern due no doubt to there being no exhaust fan, and it is quite noisy as all the doors bang when people move about. Nothing ear plugs can't fix though

Excellent - very well priced, with a fairly central location. The rooms were clean and simply furnished, the kitchen had decent facilities, and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were pleasant and the cleaners discrete to the point of near-invisibility. All in all a very pleasant stay

Room was clean, not sterile but fine. The location is great, about 3-5 min walk from the underground. Nice bars at Hoxton Square (which is not Hoxton market). A bit diffcult to find, look for Boot Street or Coronet Street to get to Hoxton market. Kitchen is fine, but some real cups would be nice to make coffee. Seven rooms share 2 bathrooms, that was fine. Free wireless at 512 kb/s, was also ok, but a bit slow in the evenings when everybody skyped home

Great location - fair price and does the job for what you need in terms of room. However, shower was a disaster and Internet was available through inputting a code into a keycom website however it stated username already in use so was unable to get internet access for brief stay

Everything was fine. However, the bed linen did not look and feel fresh. I wonder whether it has been replaced after the previous customer. Overall, the LSE halls maintain much higher standard of customer care.

My stay at Alexander Fleming house was good. I appreciated the room, endowed with new pieces of furniture, and the cleannes of it and the bathroom. There was a strange smell (perhaps due to the furniture itself). The personnel at the reception was gentle. The price was very good. Unfortunately it's not probable for me to come back to London soon, but if it happens I will contact you again. Thank you

Remember this is a basic room and you get what you pay for. Very clean, very helpful staff and a place to stay for the night that is as good as any other basic rooms. Only point of complaint, there were no towels in the room, just one in the shared bathroom so I went to the local market and got myself one. The area is very good - pubs, clubs, restaurants etc. If you miss the turning for Hoxton Market like I did, there is a sign post for Hoxton Market, that is in fact Hoxton Street Market

Very clean, simple and functional accommodation. Just the basics but very cheap in this part of town. I would stay again if I need to work in the area.

Easy 5 min walk to Old Street Underground, and 15 min to Liverpool Street Station. Quiet when I was there but heavy fire doors slamming shut might disturb on busy nights. Beds not the most comfortable, but great value.

The nice thing about these university rooms is the security they afford, together with decent facilities. I still prefer however to be closer to the venues that I am attending so that it’s a more of a 'home from home' experience. Still, the accommodation is adequate for a night.

The rooms and facilities were being refurbished when I stayed at Alexander Fleming House last summer, but even so they were clean and good value. They are situated in a very pleasant square and the staff were friendly.
