Nice, clean room with self-catering and good bathroom facilities. Close to lots of food and public transport. Although the community is very loud at night, especially Thursdays through Saturdays. Drunk people shouting into the early hours. The location is very hard to find without very good directions. Locals don't even know where it is. Come prepared. That said, it's just off Old Street. Turn at Pitfield and walk to the next alley. You'll see the sign. I didn't and got lost for an hour. It's very easy to feel lonely as it is very private, despite the fact there are eight people to a section. Otherwise a good base, although a little far from central London

Great value. Clean, comfortable, decent enough facilities, close to the tube, 2 mins from really trendy clubs and bars only downside is that the doors bang noisily

Great place to stay at when visiting London. Nice, clean rooms with free WiFi and a quite comfortable bed. The shared bathroom and kitchen was also clean and never crowded. Really enjoyed the surrounding area of Hoxton/Shoreditch. I my opinion it's much better than many London hotels

I had a bad nights sleep in the room because every door in the entire flat slammed shut, meaning every time someone went to the toilet/into their room/ into the flat itself I got woken up. The shower room was very poorly ventilated and after several people had showered it wasn't pleasant to walk into the room. The queue to actually get the keys to the accommodation was ridiculous I waited over half an hour which for keys to a room is pretty unacceptable - it wasn't the girl on reception's fault, she was by herself and lots of people wanted to check in

The standard of the room matched the price - I was happy with the cleanliness, security and comfort. The shower was clean and powerful, and the kitchen looked good too (although I didn't need to use it). Very happy with location. The only downside is the way noise echoes around the corridor at night! I'd definitely recommend it

Just the place to stay. Exactly as advertised and in a quiet square very close to the City. Certainly met all my needs for a comfortable place near City Road

I stayed in Alexander Fleming House also last year, in my opinion it's a perfect accommodation not so far from bus or tube, with large rooms, large bathroom. The rooms are cleaned every day, very kind staff, also nice price, i'll come back soon

In general a very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable enough. Having a shower was a little challenging as the fittings were old and the shower seemed to have a will of its own. I enjoyed being in that part of London, and would happily stay there again

Cosy rooms, well-equipped kitchen and fresh bathrooms. The location is great and it's close to the Old Street tube station. Although it takes a few nights to get used to the constant slamming of doors - the walls are truly paper thin
