The room is quite good at Abercorn House, I think there should be more chairs in the rooms, the public areas are good, but the doors are a bit uncomfortable. Wifi should be better, and free in common areas

My fourth stay at Abercorn House, it improves every time. Spotlessly clean, safe and so close to public transport. Will be back

Location of Abercorn House is close to tube, 24/7 accessibility, reception was working well and kind, kitchen and fridge were fine, bed and linen were in good condition. Very cold room when arrived, toilets were broke down and flushing did not work well, very cold showers, marble floor was cold, corridor doors opened/closed very loud

I found Abercorn House good value, clean, peaceful and well located. There was ample provision of Kitchen space, which was great in terms of allowing me to prepare my own meals every day. Given that "self catering kitchen" was advertised, I was surprised that I had to bring my own pots, pans and utensils. I would have been OK with paying the hostel a deposit to borrow a cooking pot / chopping board etc. (other hostels usually run systems like this when utensils are not left in Kitchens). I appreciated the fridge-freezer in the dorm-room. Few other places I have stayed provide this much fridge-space per guest - which, again, was great for preparing my own food. Unfortunately, the freezer wasn't really cold enough to freeze food. It behaved only like a cold fridge (i.e. freezer wasn't working properly). I stayed for 1 week, and my bed sheets where changed every 2 days (approx.) and new towel provided each time. I felt this was very generous for the price I paid - perhaps excessive. I was disappointed that unlimited free Wi-Fi was not included - I felt the online advertisement implied that it would be. Overall I felt the hostel was great value. I particularly appreciated the quiet, peaceful, clean environment

Perfectly acceptable stay at Abercorn House. Spotless room & bedding, likewise the bathrooms. Boiling hot but just opened the window
