Regents Park
Regents Park
Regent's Park is one of the largest green spaces in the capital comprising 410 acres so you'll be missing out if you don't visit this attraction when you're staying at cheap London accommodation.
The land was first appropriated by King Henry VIII (1509-47) for use as a hunting ground close to Whitehall Palace but now it is home to stylish gardens and sports fields.
It was later transformed into elegant gardens by John Nash which are still there for you to go and admire.
You can also catch a production at its open-air theatre, such as the childhood favourite The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, visit the animals at London Zoo and soak up the atmosphere at the café or one of the many restaurants on-site.
There are always plenty of activities taking place at the park, such as open-air dancing and nature rambles, meaning you'll find something you enjoy.
Alternatively, you can just enjoy a stroll in the wide open space or get lost in a book sitting in the shade.
