Very efficient and friendly reception staff created an immediately favourable impression. A well equipped room was warm and comfortable. Very convenient central location, though some might feel it's a bit dark and dingy on Cowgate if returning late at night.

I will never ever stop in this place again. The hotel is absolutely horrible. Customer service is very poor and staff are unpleasant, especially on reception. Our room was dirty and it seems like it hasn't been cleaned up for our arrival. This is the most horrible hotel I have ever stopped in.

First of all, the hotel tried to charge me more than promised. The breakfast was good but the staff were not very polite. Only once I heard someone say "good morning". I have never slept so badly in a hotel - my room was at the first floor. Please give room 104 to a young person, who does not go to sleep until 2 or 3 at night.
