I stay at Rooms For You a lot as I need to go to London for business once a month, and need somewhere very cheap. Usually the stay is OK but last time was not a good experience, the shower was not usable, there was no hot water and I ended up having a cold bath before going to to sit my medical exams which wasn't a good start to the day. The kettle was faulty and dangerous so no hot drinks. The microwave was also faulty but that got resolved. The toilet paper ran out and was not renewed although I did ask about it. I like the place because it has a friendly atmosphere and feels more like a student bedsit than a hotel, though it is pretty grubby, and I feel that even at these prices one should expect cleanliness. Beds are good and always clean. Rooms are spacious which is nice as cheap rooms are often tiny. Staff are very courteous, one of the best things about the rooms and the reason why I go back. If these maintenance things were taken better care of this would be a really very good stay for a rock bottom price, there are also good amenities nearby, plenty of shops, PO, rail station and bus routes, another big plus

Was a bit grubby and looked like students had just left the place without cleaning up after them. Very basic but so is the price. Shower was cold, window didn't close properly, toaster and oven/hob not working. Was provided with a toaster on request and the place was warm. Owner was nice enough and welcoming. It was OK for us as we only used the place to sleep in
