The room we were allocated was on the top floor and being pensioners was quite a carry for luggage. The room was small and the toilet and sink was being unblocked as we arrived. They were unable to repair it and we were moved to a much better room on the ground floor, which was adequate for our needs. The breakfast was very good

Nice wee accommodation option, just 3 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station. As an unexpected bonus, the single rooms are marked 'shared bathroom', but there is a shower and sink in the room, so it's actually only the toilet you have to share. Breakfast buffet of bacon, sausages, beans, etc, and some really nice looking eggs - maybe poached? (not as greasy looking as usually offered in the cheaper places). Reasonably thin walls, have to hope neighbouring rooms aren't too rowdy. But I didn't have too much trouble with noise from the street. In general, pretty good option for a cheap couple of nights in Central London

This was my second stay at the Montana Hotel and it was just as good as the first one. The hotel is clean with helpful staff and the breakfast is very good. The next time we go to London we hope to book at the hotel again.

The Montana Hotel London is okay for its location. Quiet and close to the underground but very basic and in need of updating. Not worth the money. Unclean, dirty bed sheets and the carpet was terrible. The stairs were dangerous as there was not enough lighting. Room kettle was useless, too big. No way of filling it unless you went back and forth to the bathroom sink with a cup. There was no hand towel, just massive bath towels. I got the impression even from the reception staff that care and attention was minimum. Even more alarming for us was the fact that we had to hand in our room key before we left the hotel and when we arrived back, we only had to state the number of the room; no security questions asked - like your name. Very worrying. Overall I would not recommend this hotel unless you just want a really basic room and you're not worried about your room being robbed. But to be honest, for the price you may find the YMCA better.

The Montana Hotel was absolutely disgusting. It had somebody's old blood on the bed sheet. I had only noticed in the morning because the quilt had come off the bed! Went down for breakfast could not eat as there weren't enough tables, so I paid for it and never got it! Went to front desk to complain on the way out and the dark haired lady's attitude was disgusting. She wasn't even sorry. Would not even recommend to a cat!

I was not really happy with our room at the Montana Hotel London, the bed was held up by pieces of wood, there were holes in the towels, carpet past its prime but what I would like to say is the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Also breakfast was very nice so the rooms let this hotel down, not the staff.

Montana Hotel is in a great location and had a very welcoming lady at reception upon arrival. Was able to go straight to room at midday. Room was clean and so was the bathroom with a bath towel for each of us. The room was quite small but fine for a night. The radiator was quite hot and we weren't able to control the heat. Luckily we had a courtyard window we could leave open during the night. Breakfast was fine. Self service bacon, poached egg, sausage, beans and tomatoes with toast and tea and orange juice. Very attentive staff. Would recommend to others as it was perfect location for Kings cross station. It was very quiet too.

Montana Hotel London is in a great location - easy access to Kings Cross Station and bus services. Good size room with great breakfast choices and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Very calm clean and warm. Great breakfast. This is my 3rd stay so I think that tell you that the Montana Hotel is good.

The Montana Hotel is a lovely place for a short stay. The hotel is quite close to King's Cross, an ideal location to start and end your journey in London. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean and tidy. The breakfast included is good enough to start my day in this season. The luggage storage provided is also great.
