Great value for a reasonable price. We had a twin bed room with shower and washbasin, shared toilet. It wasn't the first time we stayed there. We always come back because of the cleanliness, the good price, the excellent location and the friendliness. Low budget rooms at the Montana are neither stylish and modern nor spacious, no table or chair, and there is no lift in the house. But if you want to be on your way in London the whole day long and you don't want to spend much money, you get what you need afterwards: a comfortable and clean bed in a quiet surrounding, a friendly receptionist, tea and coffee in your room, a small tv, a clean toilet, cheap restaurants nearby (we recommend "Chop Chop", reasonable asian food at dumping price, most expensive dish at 3,90 GBP, only the staff is neither friendly nor attentive, but take away is possible). The room is serviced every day. What we missed in the room were some hooks at the wall to hang our jackets and wet towels and a place to leave our travelling bags. Breakfast is great although you have to wait to snatch a chair at a table. Staff there is unattentive, you often have to claim for the refill of some breakfast components. Not much space if you sit at a 6 person table. But if you can cope with that you will enjoy your brakfast. Even though it's a 2 minute walk to the tube and buses the surroundings of the hotel are very quiet, there is a small park just opposite. King's Cross is an ideal location to get anywhere in London. We will be back, at the latest next year

Nice and quiet little hotel, very friendly receptionists. Luggage storage on early arrival and after checkout possible. Very clean rooms and beds, so is shared toilet, too. Plenty of cheap and good restaurants nearby. Excellent connection to tube and buses. Breakfast is great, sometimes you have to wait to get a seat in the breakfast room, but so what - you're on holidays! Great bargain, if you consider what you get for your money. Might happen, they're overbooked and you're transferred to a nearby hotel of the same standard - no problem. We stayed at Montana Hotel several times now and were always very satisfied. We've also experienced some other accommodations in London - just a little cheaper but disastrous. Beware of some so-called "lodges". We will always return to Montana! Thank you for accommodating us. ("We" are a family, members of the age of 6, 26, 29, 50 and 53.)

A very pleasant hotel. Excellent location. Great breakfast but lacking seating for size of hotel. Our room was pleasant enough, beds very clean but a bit cramped for 3. Tea and coffee poor especially the tea, very weak teabags and no proper cups. Pleasant reception and very helpful
