No toiletries, No bin in en-suite, No plastic cups in en-suite, En-suite far too small and narrow, Washbasin too close to toilet, could not use toilet properly without struggling with size of ensuite. Door on ensuite did not shut properly, Net curtains were very dirty and windows were dirty. However, Bedding and beds were very clean and comfortable, staff were very obliging when extra tea making facilities were required. No instructions etc in room. However, in the reception there were local attraction leaflets. Even though beds were clean and comfortable, we would not stay there again. Very poor breakfast.

Surprisingly good. Small rooms but well planned, neat and clean. Only problem: dining room somewhat small

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, room was very clean and comfortable for the price. One small problem was no hot water in morning, but unfortunately could not see anyone because of work commitment.

The room was comfortable and was more than worth the price. The one night stay was spoiled by the attitude of the staff at breakfast. There was no help with lack of cups or glasses to drink from. When asked the girl muttered something like "in wash" and then ignored us. Cups didn’t appear at all and 5/7 glasses were left on a counter for all of the people there, 2 of which were still dirty, with lipstick still in evidence on the rim of one. My family finally had a fruit juice each by sharing a glass they cleaned properly themselves. This is unacceptable in a Bed and Breakfast Hotel. The reception Staff were very very good.

Good points - value for money, very good cheap relaxing and friendly hotel. Very warm, clean, good sized triple room with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom very clean with excellent strong warm flow from shower over bath with good pure white towels changed every day. Self service continental breakfast of tea, coffee, ham, cheese slices and toast in nice large airy room. Comfy clean thick mattress with pure white sheets and duvet. Bad points - bedrooms clean but need redecorating. Bathroom clean but a bit shabby with two tiles falling off wall below shower. Overall - it was definitely value for money and I would be happy to return for another 4 days. Hotel is up a long hill but there is a taxi office opposite the train station and no 249 bus goes past hotel every 12 minutes. It is in a quiet location with supermarket about four mins walk away. Train to Central London takes 15 minutes (buy a return ticket as it is a lot cheaper). We looked forward at the end of a noisy bustling busy day in London to return to our comforting quiet hotel room to relax and have a restful sleep. Well worth the money
