Elephant & Castle Station is a 10-15 minute walk from Hour Glass Hotel and
because this area is so well served by buses we recommend that you take a bus
from Elephant & Castle bound for Camberwell. Get off the bus at Burgess
Park. From here turn left down Albany Road, which runs along the edge of the
park. Then go left up Portland Street, take a right onto Hopwood Road and go
straight onto Beaconsfield Road, where Hour Glass Hotel is located.

You get what you pay for. The Hour Glass was fine. Safe. Reasonably clean and cheap. Benefit was close to bus and the staff were cheery

The owners were helpful and kind. They had good directions for how to get to their B&B. Rooms were clean. It was in a good location for exploring some less touristy areas as well as getting to the big sights and things to do. Buses are very useful when you stay here! A bit noisy from the bar downstairs some nights. Kitchen is not yet for guest use.

The hotel is not the Ritz but you don't expect that for the price. If you just want somewhere to stay which is close to the centre of London, clean and good value for money then this is just the ticket. I would stay there again.

The room was perfectly clean, staff very kind, price great. The bathroom should have been a bit cleaner, but still I would recommend Hour Glass Hotel and I would stay there again. I was more than satisfied.

The hotel is great for people who are looking for a bed only and don't ask for comfort. Our room was small, but clean such as the bathroom. The kitchen which we didn't use was less taken care of. There is a bus station right in front of the hotel that connects you to the city. For all this and compared to the rest of London accommodation the price is unbeatable.
