Hermitage Guest House Reviews

Not worthy of an AA 3 star rating. I asked to change room after the first night. There was no coat hook, no towel rail, no chair and the shower was awful. The second room was very cramped with the toilet extractor fan venting into the bedroom. Again there was nowhere to hang anything and the carpets needed cleaning. Breakfast seemed to be all Tesco value. Over priced.

I was made very welcome, there was always someone available for help. Good food and a good room.

Basic room. Very clean. Nice breakfast. Shower facility encompassed with toilet area.

Cannot believe this place is AA 3 star. In need of complete refurbishment. On the plus side, was a good location and just did the job for one night. Also, not a bad price for Edinburgh (but would be poor value in most other places). Had difficulty finding a dining chair that did not feel it was about to collapse. Very basic breakfast with poor choice of cereal, no fruit, yoghurt or rolls in evidence, bacon was obviously cheap watery stuff. Would not go back

I was slightly disappointed with the Hermitage Guest House. Everything seemed to be quite minature. Nothing was terrible though and for the price I don't think I can complain. The food was nice and the people too
