Excellent location, the place is full of history. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Rooms a little tired and old fashioned but perfectly adequate as long as you're not expecting wi-fi, TV, phone etc. Really enjoyed my stay here would come again without hesitation

My wife and I enjoyed a splendid weekend in Durham. We were very impressed with Hatfield College Durham - excellent value. Very handy for Cathedral, Castle and City. Accommodation of a high standard, very helpful, pleasant and efficient staff. Who could ask for more?

A very enjoyable stay. Room was a double and better than I thought it would be, considering it is student accommodation. Shower, bathroom pack (including shampoo, shower gel, face cloth, toothbrush and toothpaste), tv, clock alarm and fluffy towels. Porters at the Gatehouse were unfailingly helpful. Breakfast generous. The College is close to the centre of Durham and the Cathedral, so is excellent value

Rooms were very convenient and clean with necessary facilities. Bathrooms and toilets limited for number of rooms sharing. Noisy plumbing!
