Golden Star Hostel
Golden Star Hostel is an old and extremely basic accommodation in a central location. The customers who book this no frills accommodation are backpackers, construction workers and travellers on a very tight budget who want the cheapest rate. The rooms are very basic and the facilities sparse, so it’s all about location, location, location. Victoria Tube and Train Station and Victoria Coach Station are minutes away, so getting around London is easy. A basic continental breakfast is included.
Golden Star Hostel in London is slowly improving some of the rooms, and most of the singles, doubles, twins and triples have very small private bathrooms, so you won't have to worry about sharing facilities with other guests. Inside your very basic room you won't find many facilities, but if all you are looking for is a very basic private room in Victoria, then this accommodation may be an option to consider. Most rooms contain coffee and tea making equipment and a colour TV.
If you’re backpacking through London you’ll find plenty of places to visit near Golden Star Hostel, including Westminster Cathedral. Head on from here Buckingham Palace and wander through Green Park and St James's Park. In the opposite direction walk along Millbank by the River Thames to get to the Tate Britain, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. If you’re working on a building site in the Victoria area or need great transport links around the capital, this is a really handy spot.

Golden Star Hostel was very basic, bathroom wasn't very clean. Bed's and bedding was old. Room was generally clean and there was a fully working tv
Golden Star Hostel is a good little place for a night, bit of improvement is required but awesome place
I had a lovely stay at Golden Star Hostel, it was just what I was looking for. A 10 minute walk away from the coach station and not that far from Central London
Very nice welcome and a beautiful room at Golden Star Hostel
I can’t say there’s much to recommend the Golden Star Hotel. Really poor service and shabby throughout. I slept alright and it wasn’t such a dump that I walked out but certainly wouldn’t recommend it to my friends. They say they offer 24 hour reception but then the guy there got all angry when I showed up late, even though I called him to say I was on my way. Then he said he was going to move me during my stay, but I told him that that wasn’t going to happen so he relented. The door to the bathroom wouldn’t close if I was sitting on the toilet. I had no idea how to work the shower. Apparently it wasn’t broken, it was just completely bafflings
