Hotel is conveniently located near Warren St tube stop- but aside from the pleasant staff, there is minimal reason to recommend this hotel to others. Room #4- a single is a dump. I was given a better room for my last night after accidentally seeing how much nicer the front room was. It was fair at best- tired old beds, odds and ends for furniture and broken or missing fixtures throughout. Instant coffee at breakfast- no fresh fruit, just a very basic traditional English Breakfast which was cooked nicely to order. The dining room was fine, doubled for the wifi zone- which only worked there. Generally the place is just old and tired and in need of major repairs. Unfortunately these are not issues that even the best of staff can overcome

A reasonable couple of nights stay at the Fitzroy. Very basic services, only had one working plug socket in the room, so had to 'borrow' the one in the hallway on occasions. Only disappointment was the disturbed sleep in the early hours of Saturday morning by our very noisy neighbours. Otherwise a good central place to stay in London

Friendly staff, good breakfast. Wi-Fi signal extremely weak from the rooms and if you can get on then you'll be disappointed by the speed.

For anyone interested in learning about the Fitzroy Hotel I can only say you should. A small hotel with no trace of cosiness or friendly atmosphere, a dirty blue (or so I thought) carpet in the corridor and the room itself that didn’t invite you to walk on it without shoes. An old-fashioned, dusty chair, two battered beds and an old system of hot-cold water in the shower that we never figured out how it worked (it was really a matter of chance that we managed to have a lukewarm shower from time to time), are only some of our memories from our stay at Fitzroy. Not to mention the nightmare of a mouse that visited the room of our friends and didn’t really cause any surprise or alarm to the personnel. No wonder they asked payment upon our arrival!
