Nice hotel. Good price. Friendly staff. Clean but small rooms. Double beds are small and not very comfortable, but acceptable for a weekend. We arrived at 11am and had a room after 2pm, but we could store our luggage at the hotel, so that we could start sightseeing without all our luggage. Breakfast is simple but tasty. Good price-quality. Hotel is just next to king's cross, so very good connection to London centre

Main problem dining room too small might be an idea to put sliding doors on en-suite bathroom

Hotel was basic but clean and tidy with polite and helpful staff. Rooms were small and would be a struggle if staying for more than a couple of nights but for the price it is an ideal hotel for a short break. Breakfast was adequate to see us through the morning and kitchen staff were more than happy to supply extra toast. I would definitely use this hotel again, excellent value for money.

Good location (King's Cross station a 5 mins walk, and buses to centre every 5-10mins). Hotel was not perfect (toilet issue, strange smell in the room) and you have to pay for every little thing (e.g. we had to pay 5GBP for each luggage on the last day in order to visit the town a bit more before departure). You will have a Continental breakfast, do not expect the typical English one. Elmwood Hotel is much more like a hostel than a real hotel, except for extra cost.
