A typical double room at Elmwood Hotel
 |
 |
As the prices at Elmwood Hotel London are incredibly cheap, you should expect to stay in a very basic, yet clean and comfortable room. You'll find single, twin, double and triple rooms to choose from, all with their own ensuite shower rooms. These are filled with little more than coffee / tea making equipment, a hairdryer, WiFi and a colour TV, but you won't really need anything else as you'll spend all day exploring anyway! The concierge at the tour desk can help you plan your visit to London. |

Good location (King's Cross station a 5 mins walk, and buses to centre every 5-10mins). Hotel was not perfect (toilet issue, strange smell in the room) and you have to pay for every little thing (e.g. we had to pay 5GBP for each luggage on the last day in order to visit the town a bit more before departure). You will have a Continental breakfast, do not expect the typical English one. Elmwood Hotel is much more like a hostel than a real hotel, except for extra cost.

Excellent hotel. All the basic needs for an overnight stay. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Basic, but ample breakfast. Easy access to Kings Cross station and central to London attractions. Highly recommend - will stay again. Thanks

Recently I had to stay in London on my own. I realy didn't like my room. I had a room directly opposite the reception desk that everyone had to pass as well as as the staff coming in and out from behined the desk, I could hear them behind the desk. Their was a constent humming from the floor all night which stopped me from sleeping even with my ear plugs in. When I put my foot on the floor it was vibrating. Also I didn't feel safe in the room as I had problems locking the door the receptionist could hear me and reluctantly came to help. It made me relise how close I was to reception and how paper thin the walls are so, I placed the cabinet that the tv was on against it. I don't think the one medium towel in the shower room was clean as it felt cold, giving a clue it may have been wet recently, when I discovered this it was too late at night to complain. Also had to leave my luggage for a few hours and it was placed in a corridor that guests and staff had access to. There is no securuty for luggage. For the price I payed I found my experiance disgraceful

Clean, tidy, basic accommodation but fair enough for the price considering its central position

Great location, pleasant, helpful, polite and couteous staff, especially reception. The Hotel is very clean and good value for money. Only downside was the stairs, lots of them!! We were on the top floor, it was better than a workout at the gym!! Room quite small but it did not put us off we would definately stay there again. We have stayed in more expensive Hotels and we enjoyed our stay just as much at the Elmwood. A big thank you to all the staff
