Seriously, don't go there. This is a cheap hotel, but it's not worth paying for. Some reviewers have described it as grubby; this would be the same as describing the titanic as "slightly soggy". The hotel claims to be undergoing renovations, but there was no evidence of this, or indeed any form of cleaning or laundry. The staff are polite and even helped us by phone for a taxi to get us away from the place in the morning. This is the only good thing I can say about the place. Some specifics. The room was heavily marked. Coffee splatters on the walls had not been wiped off. The sheets did not look clean and had suspicious looking marks on them. The toilet was not clean and was beyond the point where it could ever be truly cleaned. The towels were ragged and unpleasant. The wardrobe was in late stages of chipboard disintegration. The TV and DVD was a 14" screened bubble of a unit, which would look at home at a tip, and whose remote control was handed to us with the key of the room (an indication of the usual clientele they must get). The tea and coffee making facilities were present, but we didn't think even boiling water would be sufficient enough to sterilise them. On top of that, the traffic noise from outside made it hard to get to sleep and the smoke alarm going off every 5 minutes between 1am and 3am kept waking us up - this was caused by a guest smoking in a room, rather than a fault in the fire safety system, but the end result was the same

Not clean enough. Other than that fine - room was quite large, facilities what you'd expect for the price, road noise bearable, breakfast fine and staff pleasant

This hotel was OK but could really benefit from a good cleaning out. It was grubby on the floors, doors and walls. This was my only complaint. Staff friendly and helpful

Very comfortable and adequate. No frills, but most importantly a comfortable bed, plus tea and coffee facilities. The staff were very pleasant. I would definitely book again.

Basic but okay for the price, with tea making facilities and a comfy bed. Not sure about the other things they mention on the website though - the TV didn't work, there was no DVD and the room was a little shabby. Easy to get around from though, with friendly (if sometimes confused) service. Perhaps they were mid renovation when we stayed?
