As City View Hotel is located in East London you'll only be 5 minutes away from the Museum of Childhood and close to the Whitechapel Art Gallery. You can visit Lee Hurst's Backyard Comedy Club nearby, or dine out at any of Brick lane's Indian restaurants. You should also go to the famous Spitalfields Market and the Columbia Flower Market, which are close by. As you'll be opposite Bethnal Green Tube Station, London's West End, museums, theatres, galleries and nightlife are really easy to get to!

The bedding was dirty and the room wasn't clean either. The breakfast was also poor. On the positive side, some staff were pleasant. Can't say that I would stay there again

For the money, this is a good basic hotel. Limited facilities and an off-putting entrance, but the small room and private bath were adequate and clean. Breakfast service was slow, possibly because it was a busy weekend. Would use it again for a 1 or 2 night stay

The bed linen was clean, the door locked properly, the toilet and shower both worked - for a one night stay it was fine, no frills but fair for the price

The hotel is perfect for buses and tubes. The room was small but functional with en suite and fridge and kettle. If you need tea or coffee ask and it will be provided. Towels are provided. Downstairs there is free use of a computer with net and wi-fi for laptops. Supermarkets and facilities are on doorstep for supplies. Parking out of hours is good, but as in all of London, rubbish through the day. For those on a budget it will be hard to beat
