The main thing is that this was cheap. Bed was hard. TV didn't work. There was no milk in the 'make your own tea/coffee' tray. But it was cheap, and close to the middle of the city

The people in the Carlton Hotel were well cool and made things quick and easy so we could leave our stuff and go out to meet mates. Breakfast was good too

A comfortable room for a night's rest. However breakfast was not adequate for the special dietary needs I had requested. There was no gluten free cereal or bread available and when queried the staff did not seem to be aware of a gluten free diet. All I had was a drink of orange juice and a cup of tea. Desk staff were very helpful with advice about sightseeing and checking the underground

The hotel was adequate or what we needed with a standard sized bedroom and very small bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful as we were able to leave our luggage in the breakfast room the day we were leaving so we didn't have to carry it around with us while sight-seeing. Breakfast was nice with a selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt and croissants

The room was very clean and tidy. The pillows were uncomfortable and there was not a decent quilt on the bed so it was cold. The bathroom was so small that when the shower was on everything in room including toilet rolls and towels got wet. There was not enough room for all the guests in the breakfast room. It was not the most comfortable stay overall but the room was clean which is the most important thing to me
