Directions

By Tube:: Bankside House TopFloor! is really close to Southwark Tube Station. If you get on a tube that runs on the Jubilee Line it will stop here.
On Foot:: As soon as you arrive at Southwark Tube Station you need to exit onto Blackfriars Road, turn left and start walking. You should take the 4th right into Southwark Street, turn left into Great Guilford Street and then another left into Sumner Street. You will find Bankside House TopFloor! here.

We stayed at Bankside with LSE Top Floor and were really pleased with what we got! Instead of an en-suite hotel room, we had a one-bedroom apartment with a sitting room and kitchen in central London for less than £100. The flat was clean, pleasantly furnished, the kitchen was well-equipped and the bed comfortable. There are plenty of dining options nearby, but because we had a kitchen we used M&S Simply Food, just round the corner, to buy supplies for dinner and breakfast. The money we saved not eating out made the room even better value.

The room at Bankside House TopFloor was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the location is very nice; there are lots of amenities nearby, and central London is easily accessible across the Millennium Bridge. I have only three criticisms: 1. The plumbing is not very good. The water pressure fluctuates wildly. The shower is like a firehose, but it sprays water in all directions, and the booth is too small to move. The two-tap sink is anachronistic and inconvenient. 2. The kitchen is under-equipped by way of utensils. There are literally 2 forks and 2 spoons to be shared amongst all the residents. I don't mind having to bring my own utensils to your "fully equipped" kitchen, but it would be good to be warned in advance. 3. It would be nice to have a proper coffee maker, instead of instant coffee.
