The Princes Square Hotel

The Princes Square Hotel has recently undergone refurbishment, so this Victorian townhouse hotel in Bayswater feels smart and fresh. This non-smoking hotel (hooray for that) has a 24 hour reception and business services should you need them, plus that all-essential lift for your heavy suitcases. Best of all, The Princes Square Hotel is close to the restaurants and shops of Queensway or the fashionable bars of Notting Hill, while still on the corner of a quiet and leafy London square.

Your single, double, twin or triple room at The Princes Square Hotel will always have private facilities. Your room also has everything to make your stay comfortable, including a coffee and tea maker, hair dryer, complimentary shampoo, plus a modem socket for high speed internet access. Your direct dial telephone even offers voicemail, so you will never miss that call from your mother, even if you're watching the TV! Cots for children are available on request, as are an iron and ironing board.

Attractions

The Princes Square Hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Bayswater Tube, so you can be shopping in central London within 15 minutes of leaving the hotel. On Sundays, the railings alongside Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are hung with art works for sale by the artists themselves, a fabulous free open-air art show just five minutes’ walk from The Princes Square Hotel. Or, catch a bus along the Bayswater Road to Hyde Park Corner, site of the Tyburn gallows where criminals used to be hung!

Great service and a really good, clean hotel with much cheaper rates than expected. Would definitely book the Princes Square Hotel again.

There were no real issues.  The Princes Square Hotel was very clean. It was friendly and had a decent continental breakfast. It only loses marks due to lack of storage space. Recommended.

If you read reviews on this hotel, you would probably not stay here. I have come to the conclusion that people who write bad reviews have champagne taste with beer money! For the price, this hotel is in an excellent location, it is very comfortable and a great budget end price. We had a twin room and yes it was small (please let me know any other hotel in London that isn't, at this price), but it still had 2 comfortable beds with a flatscreen TV. You can walk to Bayswater Tube Station in 5 mins and Notting Hill Gate in 10 min. and Hyde Park is 500m away. I would not hesitate to recommend The Princes Square Hotel and please ignore the bad reviews. If people want a spacious room sitting in Leicester Square, then dont look at hotels in this price range! I was expecting basic hostel type standards, but this was far better than I expected. Ok, the people working on the desk are not overly chatty, but again, they still give you a room key and directions to key points of interest. My final tip is that we left our luggage under the stairs while we spent our last day in the city, and we did not return until 6pm, so this facility is also available.

Stayed for one night for Christmas shopping. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was good. The hotel was very clean and tidy. Just one negative: the room wasn't very spacious. But this didn't stop us enjoying our stay, if stopping in London on a shopping trip, would definitely book The Princes Square Hotel again.

The Princes Square Hotel is close to tube station and close to a lot of restaurants. It's very good.
