I had a wonderful experience at Collingwood College. The staff was great, food was great, and accommodations were very good in proportion to price. The only recommendation might be to make internet access available in the rooms. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable stay

Collingwood College is really conveniently situated.No more than 5 minutes by bus from bus station. Near cathedral and oriental museum. The room is clean and have a small shared kitchen

Collingwood College was good value, quiet and comfortable. My only minor criticism as a conference visitor was that wireless internet access might have been expected

Friendly staff with clean comfortable rooms. Food within the colleague was tasty and is situated very close to the city centre, whilst also being near the countryside

Room was clean, warm and suitable for purpose. Nice to have kettle and coffee making facilities in room. Would have been nice even as a payable extra to have had internet access in room. Ensuite facilities good. Very handy and good value for an overnight stay when dropping off a uni student for the term. Cooked breakfast suffered slightly from standing out too long and coffee from machine was poor. Would book again

Basic but clean accommodation. Nowhere to get food in the evening but only a 15 minute walk into Durham city centre

I liked the price because it couldn't be beat, but more information should be put into rooms about the issue regarding the internet usage via the ethernet cables

I stayed at Collingwood College for 2 nights when I visited Durham and thought it was good for a short stay. The rooms were only very basic but it was good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was filling. I would stay at Collingwood College again if I come back to Durham
