The perfect place to stay for a couple of nights - good and quiet location, excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and an immaculately clean room. I had problems with a shower control that was held together with an elastic band (hard to turn off) but everything else was jusr right. Would certainly stay at Collingwood College again

Room quite comfortable, but noise from next door through thin walls. Would have been nice to be able to book a double room. Breakfast good

Unfortunately due to a family emergency we had to leave Durham on Saturday evening. The receptionist was extremely friendly and although unable to refund deposit waived the fee. So unfortunately cannot comment on the room

Clean, convenient and good value for money. A very good breakfast. It would be more convenient if group bookings could pay for rooms separately, which is standard at most other accommodation

Clean room with simple but facilites but better than I'd expected for student accommodation. Friendly welcome (but come on, this is Durham, of course there was a friendly welcome). Breakfast was excellent. Well done, Collingwood College

Very impressed with the standard of my room given that this is student accommodation. Excellent breakfast. Everyone with whom I came into contact was helpful, cheerful and welcoming

The room is clean. However, the bath liquid is not given every day. The shared shower is not very clean. There is not plates or folks to use in the kitchen

A trip down memory lane for me, very little has changed. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to be there much longer, largely because the bathroom was so grotty - a lot of mould, no bathmat, and an alarmingly dirt-filled gap between the bath and the floor tiles. Actual room was perfectly clean

Hi! I've enjoyed my stay at Collingwood College. I will divide my review between good and bad points. Good points - Wonderful staff!!!The people of the staff were very polite, helpful, and always in good mood to give information at any moment. Wonderful! - Good bed - Great breakfast. Bad points - No internet access in the bedrooms. I needed to work and it was impossible - The bedroom had a strange smell Thank you for the stay

I arrived to find plenty of parking and a friendly welcome. The room was comfortable - as was the bed - and bright, and the bathroom small but adequate. It was also wonderfully quiet, other than next door getting up. I also enjoyed the self-service breakfast. It was a convenient, novel and good value alternative to a standard hotel
