Hampstead Residence offers an excellent value for high season travel to London. Located in a lovely, quiet residential neighbourhood, it is ideal for those of us who like to be somewhat removed from the heart of the action yet within easy striking distance. Several bus lines run from a stop just around the corner and two Underground stations are within a 15 minute walk. Rooms are basic, as one would expect of a university residence, but clean with shared bathrooms easily accessible and sufficient in number that one should never have to wait. The included breakfast was a nice bonus. Similarly basic, but solid with reasonable variety. All in all, an excellent value for summer accommodation in London. I look forward to my next visit.

Basic accommodation as expected, but relatively clean and tidy. Rooms, kitchen and bathrooms all looking very tired and in need of a lick of paint and some maintenance. Breakfasts OK. Main issue was the noise - lots of heavy wooden doors on very strong springs which most people just let slam - always in the middle of the night! If you're looking for a good nights sleep, best to avoid! Also a bit far away from the town and any shops

This place is really good value for the price. You get quite a spacious room and a good breakfast. It's a lovely area and there are plenty of easy public transport options to central London. I'll stay here again

The Hampstead Budget Rooms are situated in a quieter corner of London, although close to two tube stations. From the Hampstead side of the hill there are quiet leafy streets and small mansions. It is a beautiful neighborhood. The rooms are simple and the staff friendly. The desk is open until late so you can check in at any time it seems. Breakfast is not great but OK. It lacks internet access

Loved the place. They clean the room every morning. The breakfast is decent and you've good a good selection. The facilities are all good. The security there is top notch. The area is posh. All in all a great stay and I'm definitely going there again next summer, no doubt

I thought the accommodation was very reasonable, clean and tidy. Quite lovely surroundings and the staff were helpful. The only downside is that the website states that the nearest tube is West Hampstead. This is not the case. The nearest tube is Hampstead and then you want to head to Frognal and Finchely Road. Was good to have brekkie too

Basic dorm room. Pretty terrible bed. There was a kitchen I could use (but no crockery). The breakfast was nice, though a bit early. The neighbourhood is fantastic (very posh and country-like). All in all a good deal if you don't expect anything fancy and just need a place to spend the night, take a shower and get some breakfast. I'd go again

A fantastic surprise in hampstead north london at london college. If you can try to arrange a richer breakfest for the summer visitor in the morning. General rate 5/5

The accommodation was good related to the price, breakfast time- considering that in summer time people would like some sleep and don't need to get up early- until ten instead of nine thirty would be nice.

Good room, quiet building, adequate kitchen. The students are all doing their dissertations in August. Local area isn’t great, no shops but Swiss Cottage is four stops on the bus. Office staff are very helpful. Recommended.
