On the whole the stay at Glendale Hyde Park went well. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff friendly and helpful. However some of the other staff were rude and we were misinformed about the available breakfast times - resulting in us missing out. Also the pillows were like sleeping on bricks and no replacements were available

The staff were polite and helpful. The bathroom towels were changed every day and the bathroom and room were kept clean. Breakfast was adequate and the hotel is quite close to the tube station. Would certainly stay there in future

Was greeted by a pleasant friendly woman on reception. Checking in was dealt with efficiently. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean and neat. The room was very small and cramped, but as we were only there for two nights this wasn't too much of a problem. Breakfast room very small, first day had breakfast in courtyard/garden area and second day had breakfast in friends room as she was on lower floor, so nearer breakfast room. Very good for the price and Paddington seems a nice area with lots of pubs and restaurants. It was useful that they allowed us to store our luggage on day of leaving as we had booked a late train and this enabled us to do another days sight seeing without struggling with luggage

Good and friendly family hotel in an ancient typical English house in Paddington. Very well located, close to the underground station and in a nice area. Friendly staff. Quiet, clean rooms. However, I had to carry my heavy luggage to my room (4th floor, no lift). The wifi advertised does not really work (very slow and hard to catch)

It's quite difficult to rate our stay because there was a power-cut overnight so we had no heating or light - not the hotel's fault, yet they failed to tell us the problem when we returned from our night out. Overall the hotel was fine and the room clean. Breakfast was adequate: tea, coffee, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, bread, jam and butter, and cheese. However, the lady at reception was very rude to us on arrival - it wasn't the welcome one would expect and no-one deserves to be talked down to! I think there are better budget hotels in London and I shall look for another next time

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly. Room had no window so all air was processed by the A/C / Heater unit. Walls were very thin so you could hear EVERYTHING from the room next door. Connecting door to the next room allowed light through and was distracting when trying to get to sleep. Tea and coffee supplies not automatically replenished, had to ask at reception every day. OK if you just sleep in your room but if you had to spend any time watching TV or reading a book not very good. Room was in the basement so mobile phone reception was poor

It was okay for the money. However, could improve on small things. Window was difficult to close or open as the bed's headboard was in a way. Breakfast room is too small - when I went to get my breakfast, the room was full. I tried twice and then just gave up and had just an instant coffee in my room

Cramped; breakfast room seats only 8 at a time. Very basic breakfast. Room small for a double. Lavatory too close to washbasin and mirror set to low for person of normal height to use, but an excellent new shower.

Very kind hotel owners, and the hotel has just been renovated

Clean and nice small hotel. We got one of the newly renovated hotel rooms which was very small but clean and nice. The service from the staff was ok even though they were not very service-minded. The continental breakfast considered toast, tea or coffee and some cereals. The hotel had a good situation in a nice area close to Hyde Park. I will definitely stay here again as it was very affordable
