Good stay overall at Carr-Saunders Hall, very secure and rooms clean. Toilets and showers were always clean. Got a little noisy when the people in the room next door used their taps. Catering staff can only be described as militant. Fruit not always in the best condition

I had a pleasant stay here at Carr-Saunders Hall. This was my first time having a one night stay with my 2 teenaged sons. My 18yr old son had stayed here earlier in the year and recommended for our stopover in London. My twin room was probably a bit tired in its decor but the room was spotless the bed was so comfy. I slept well and breakfast the next day was better than Travelodge. Such good value and so much choice available. In my opinion a 1 night stay is good only because I don't enjoy sharing toilets and shower. Being so close to where it's all happening in the West End makes it a brilliant place to stay. I'll definitely recommend

Good location, 3 minute walk to warren underground. Good reception service, Very clean basic room with toiletries and towel provided, excellent breakfast but you can only choose 6 items inclusive of non-cooked food like fruit, cereal etc. I would definitely book Carr-Saunders Hall again preferably choosing the ensuite room

Unbelievable value for money, would recommend Carr-Saunders Hall to anyone staying in London. The girl in the reception in particular was exceptionally helpful. I lost my spectacles case with money in and she gave it back with the money still inside

My first ever time staying in a London hostel and a lot better than I expected! Yes rooms are very basic but it was all we needed as were sightseeing London for the weekend and didn't want or have time to spend in a fancy plush hotel. It was all very clean and tidy, shower blocks were lovely, breakfast was great, catered for all our needs and staff very friendly. I would def stay again

Excellent stay all round at Carr-Saunders Hall, have stayed at a number of LSE establishments and this was the best so far. My only gripe and the reason for 4/5 was that you could not lock yourself in the room from the inside, you had to depend on the locking mechanism when you shut the door coming or going working, on occasion when I shut the door when leaving the room it did not lock, I once waited a couple of minutes and it had still not locked it was trial and error, so I never knew if I was locked in at night. Not good for a sole female traveller
