I enjoyed the stay at Barkston Rooms. It's very clean when it comes to showers and toilets. The only thing that I didn't like- there is too many people in one room (you don't have to add additional bunk bed in). Thank you

I would give Savio, who worked on reception at Barkston Rooms, a 5/5 review. He was very helpful and friendly when dealing with me on my visit

The bathromm wasn't very clean. The beds were uncomfortable. The staff was very kind at Barkston Rooms

I have stayed at this hostel twice before, but this latest stay was not good. 1. Shower was out of action on the ground floor where my dormitory was located, had to walk up to the third floor and the shower there was barely luke-warm, not good as the weather was bitterly cold. 2. I was allocated a bed for two nights in a 10-bed dormitory, came back on the second night to find that my bed had been allocated to someone else. Complained to reception and they had to allocate me to another room. 3. On the first night, had to sleep in a bed right by a large window that looked onto the street at ground level, blinds couldn't close, privacy issue; 4. There are soap dispensers in all of the toilets, but no soap in any of them, not very hygienic. 5. Coffee dispensers have no cups; breakfast is offered but not always laid on. Bargain prices for rooms and good location, has the potential to be a very good hostel, but needs to sort out these issues
