This is a very basic London hotel, with no frills whatsoever. My single room had a tatty old carpet, dirty walls, and a barely-functioning TV. Nevertheless, the shared bathroom was clean, and the breakfast area was bright and inviting (with a decent breakfast too). The communal kitchen area (for guest use) was rather grim though. The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and you really couldn't complain for the price charged. Good secure parking is offered too. The hotel is situated in a quiet road within 10 minutes walk of both Ilford and Barking town centres

Barking Park Hotel was ok

Barking Park Hotel was suitable for me as it was very close to the shops and the local park. The room itself could do with a bit of tlc as there was black marks on the walls and the towel rail in the shower, roomissions had paint chipped off near the bottom. The only negatives was there was no on site bar/lounge area and was not informed about breakfast
