Travelling on the on the M74, leave at junction 8 and get onto the A71 following
signs for Kilmarnock. Pass through Strathaven, Darven, Newmilns, Galston and
Hurlford. At Hurlford get onto the A77 signposted Ayr. When you reach the Dutch
House roundabout take the second exit onto Kilmarnock Road, the B739, which is
signposted Monkton and Services. Continue on the B739 and enter Monkton. Turn
left onto Main Street where you will find the Wheatsheaf Hotel.
