Friendly, comfortable, good central position, but absence of lift was a challenge carrying suitcases up and down from second floor room

Our first impressions were not favourable. Garbage on the steps adjacent to the front door, net curtains and main curtains in room dirty, radiators thick with dust, bathroom had dirt behind toilet pedestal and basin, soap holders dirty, shower mat filthy on reverse. The whole en-suite was very tired and needing attention. A good spring clean would make all the difference! Apart from that, the beds were very comfy, it was very peaceful, the breakfast was excellent value and the staff were all very pleasant, friendly and most helpful. The price was very reasonable and the hotel is ideally situated for all the interesting tourist attractions of Glasgow.

The Townhouse Hotel was very nice, clean and tidy. Ideal place to stay if just going to Glasgow for a night out.
