Description |

Just because Surtees Hotel is cheap, this doesn’t mean that the service is poor!
In fact this inexpensive family run hotel prides itself on always trying to
ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Of course, you won’t get all the
luxuries of a really expensive hotel, but if you want somewhere within walking
distance of places like Buckingham Palace that doesn’t cost the earth, this is
the place to stay. You will get continental breakfast in the breakfast room and
there’s a TV lounge too!

Basic rooms but for the low price was exactly what we expected. Really friendly staff. No problems at all

We had a two night stay here and it was lovely. The hotel was pleasant with clean rooms. Staff were helpful. This is a really lovely place. Only down falls: extremely small en-suite bathroom, so if your a little on the large size like me I wouldn't recommend squeezing in. The "continental" breakfast was nothing like a continental breakfast, this could be improved. Other then that it was a great stay and I would definitely stay again.

As a place to stay whilst out for most of the day, The Surtees Hotel was adequate. I will say that a few pieces of toast and a portion of cheese is not a "Continental Breakfast" . The multi bedded room was cramped. The bathroom was tiny. Very noisy from the tube station. I will say that a few pieces of toast and a portion of cheese is not a "Continental Breakfast" "CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST" is croissant/pan au chocolate/pastries/toast with cured hams and continental cheeses, with warm coffee/tea in plentiful supply. This hotel should at least ensure guests have a proper breakfast, then reviews and ratings will exceed all expectations!!!

Thought the hotel was better than I expected for a 2 star hotel. Customer service was good- friendly and hospitable. The room was well presented and continental breakfast was adequate. Warm shower and central heating. On the other hand, for those who came late for breakfast, they have to wait in a queue until a table is free. Also, the walls are quite thin- so, there is a possible noise disturbance from your next door neighbour during the night. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Will definitely consider to come back again

I really enjoyed my stay at the Surtees Hotel in the very centre of London. They gave me a good breakfast and the room was just what I needed. It was smallish but not uncomfortable and everyone was so friendly, especially considering as I was on my own. Everything was clean and I would definately stay here again!
